This is what Layla brought home from school the other day on the back of her classwork. I think that she is a little bit bored with the things they are learning in kindergarten because she already knows how to read. Her class is still learning about letters...but I am a little concerned...
If you can't understand a 5 year old's writing it says: No. I do not want to be a farmer because I will have to cut the pigs opened.
and yes, that is a knife in her hand!

That is absolutely hilarious! I think she has a very good point about not wanting to be a farmer. Maybe you should talk to her about being a fruit and vegetable farmer and she can barter for her meat.

She is a remarkable writer! What a bright little girl. I would not want to be a farmer either...lol! Really though, she is a great writer, this is what we hope to see most kindergarteners doing towards the end of the year. She has spacing and everything. And it was easy to read! I hope she is in the highest reading group!!!!!

THAT IS AWSOME! Go Layla! Don't talk to my dad because he was a pig farmer...though he didn't have to cut them open, the butcher just did that.

That is pretty funny. I understand where Layla is coming from. I have thought about raising rabbits and chickens to feed my family, but don't want to deal with skinning, plucking or cleaning.
Knife in hand, smile on face. haha! Layla is so bright! I love how funny your kids are- they always think of the silliest things!
